Update on Beneficial Owners Register Data Access for Slovakia and Denmark

As of July 2025, the Slovakian register of beneficial owners has disabled access to beneficial ownership data following regulatory changes stemming from the European Court of Justice’s 2022 ruling and the 6th Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Package. Similarly, Denmark will be restricting access to BO data starting in early September 2025, although it will remain accessible to obliged entities, competent authorities, and persons and companies with a legitimate interest, under the new rules.

We are actively making the necessary arrangements to ensure continued access for entitled clients in Denmark. We are also investigating the regulatory landscape in Slovakia in terms of access to the beneficial owners data for obliged entities.

Importantly, access to data from commercial registers in both countries remains unaffected, ensuring continuity for other use cases.
